About me and what I do

After 20 years working for the BBC in various business management and scheduling roles, I decided to turn my life upside down to fulfil a lifelong ambition to work in the publishing industry. I trained as a proofreader with the Publishing Training Centre, qualifying with merit, and have also completed courses in digital proofreading, on-screen editing and proofreading problems, as well as the ’s highly respected mentoring programme.

I graduated with an MA in English Literature and Theatre Studies from the University of Glasgow and have always been an avid reader of a wide range of both fiction and non-fiction, but particularly of gritty crime novels and thrillers.

Based on my background in business and the media, as well as my other interests and passions, my specialist areas are:

  • Communication and media studies
